With new accounting standards, audit quality pressures from the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) and uncertainty in the business and regulatory environment, many audit committee members feel tasked to the limit. Protiviti recently published a suggested agenda of items audit committees should consider over the next twelve months. The suggested 2018 agenda consists of eight issues—four pertaining to enterprise, process and technology risks, and four to financial reporting related risks.
