In an ever-changing information society, acquiring the habit of lifelong learning is not only desirable in the pursuit of knowledge, but is also necessary for career survival. The year 2030 may seem far off but given that this year’s first-year university students will still be in the early stages of their career by then, the future of work is already very much upon us. The University of Pretoria is committed to doing everything it can to equip and prepare graduates for what appears to be a precarious path into a labor market full of complexity and uncertainty.
