This sample establishes guidelines for developing a business continuity program charter.
In this sample, the company’s mission is to provide a plan of action for an unexpected interruption of business operations that is beyond the scope of daily operating response procedures and to accomplish the following goals after an affected site has been rendered inoperable: safety of human life, protection of property, continuity of business operations and restoration/replacement of the affected site. This charter establishes an organization’s business continuity steering committee and business continuity plan project team.
