This sample policy contains guidelines and procedures employees should follow when using company email systems.

Sample procedures include: all full-time and part-time employees should be extended email privileges upon employment with the company, temporary workers and contractors will be extended such privileges on a case-by-case basis depending on job necessity, terminated employees' email access will be canceled upon leaving the company, the use of email and related resources should be for company business only, email is not certified to be encrypted or authenticated, and employees are expected to use good judgment and to limit the amount and frequency of personal communication.
