Audit steps include: review the appropriate regulations; review selected contracts and subcontracts and identify clauses requiring quality assurance systems or programs; review the applicable requirements; obtain copies of recent internal or external audit reports related to quality assurance; identify any significant system weaknesses noted therein and evaluate the status of corrective items; etc.
