Security of Data Policy (with UNIX Example)

This policy outlines a set of procedures for security of data (with UNIX Example).

The purpose of this document is to secure electronic media stored and transmitted on personal computers and servers and in addition, to maintain physical security of laptop and other ancillary PC devices. It covers procedures to ensure strict patient and business confidentiality, for example, the network administrator will assign different levels of security as appropriate to company staff as designated by the department manager and the network administrator. The document also outlines physical security, such as personal directories / shared network, password restricted programs, key cards, etc.
